German Submarine Type XXI

The Type XXI submarine was the most influential design in submarine construction during the Second World War and, at the time of its commissioning, it was the most advanced submarine in the world. With their high battery capacity and cleverly designed snorkel, these ships could travel while remaining almost constantly submerged.
